At the conclusion of the 2025 UISG Plenary Assembly, we gather in this section the testimonies and reflections of several Superiors General on the key themes that animated our days of listening, discernment, and communion.

Through these weekly interviews, we wish to open a space of listening and communion, where the experience of those who, from diverse contexts, walk the synodal path in service of the Gospel and consecrated life in today’s world can truly resonate.

This week we share the words of Sister Angela CUADRA, Superior General of the Company of Saint Teresa of Jesus, on how consecrated life is a call to be artisans of hope in a divided world in need of communion.

"Today we are called not only to transmit hope, but to be artisans of hope. We are so because we embody a spirituality capable of transforming and fostering communion among all.

We become artisans of hope when we accompany the most vulnerable with a presence that is close and compassionate, like that of Jesus. We are also artisans of hope when we cultivate a spirituality that is a source of inner and communal transformation, and when we prepare ourselves to live in these times of complexity and uncertainty.

We are artisans of hope when we open our gaze to the world with a contemplative spirit, able to recognize God’s action transforming history and reality, even when it may seem impossible. For God is there, always present.

Today, more than ever, in a divided and polarized world, we are called to be artisans of hope: women who promote communion and fraternity, inspired by a synodal spirituality that includes, welcomes, and listens. A spirituality marked by an empathetic listening that recognizes, in each brother and sister, the face of God revealed to us."
