Solidarity with South Sudan is seeking for religious personnel

Solidarity with South Sudan, the inter-congregational initiative of the UISG and USG here in Rome, is seeking additional religious personnel for our ministries in South Sudan. Solidarity, founded in 2008, represents a new paradigm for religious life based on the creative collaboration of women and men from diverse congregations and diverse parts of the world.

Presently, the initiative is looking for the following personel members:

  • A Sister who could offer retreats, days of reflection, and spiritual direction at the Good Shepherd Peace Center in Kit.
  • A Sister with training and experience in offering workshops on Trauma Healing. This person would be based in at the Good Shepherd Center in Kit but would hopefully travel out to other locales in the country to offer these workshops.  The people of South Sudan have been traumatized by many years of violence and this kind of work is a serious need.
  • A Sister who is qualified to serve as a tutor in Nursing or Midwifery at the Catholic Health Institute (CHTI) in Wau.
  • A Sister with skills and experience in agronomy who could offer leadership and vision for the Solidarity Agricultural Project in Riiminze.
  • A Sister who could serve as a teacher for the kindergarten we operate in Riiminze.

If you are aware of Sisters who might be discerning a new ministry and who are open to an opportunity that promises to be both challenging and rewarding, please contact Father David Gentry - Mission Promoter at Solidarity with South Sudan:
