Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Ephesians 4:4)

Churches and Christian communities around the world are invited to take part in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, from 18 to 25 January 2026 (Northern Hemisphere).

The theme of the 2026 edition, taken from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians,
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Eph 4:4), reminds us that, despite the diversity of traditions, all believers belong to the one Body of Christ.

The resources for this edition were prepared by the Department for Inter-Church Relations of the Armenian Apostolic Church and jointly published by the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches (WCC).

Inspired by ancient Armenian spiritual traditions — prayers, invocations and hymns from monasteries dating back to the fourth century — these resources invite the faithful to reconnect with a shared Christian heritage.
