Voices from the Plenary 2025: Witnesses of Synodality
At the conclusion of the 2025 UISG Plenary Assembly, we gather in this section the testimonies and reflections of several Superiors General on the key themes that animated our days of listening, discernment, and communion.
Through these weekly interviews, we wish to open a space of listening and communion, where the experience of those who, from diverse contexts, walk the synodal path in service of the Gospel and consecrated life in today’s world can truly resonate.
This week, we share the words of Sr. Celestine Borive Dhesi, Superior General of the Sisters of Maternal Charity, on how consecrated life remains meaningful when it is human, evangelical, rooted in reality, and lived in synodality.
"We are called to live synodality in our Church and in our consecration.
This means going together, walking together, to bear witness to Christ in the world and to make Him known.
Synodality must be lived in fraternity and in unity, so that our life may become a sign of Christ in the midst of the world.
To live synodality is to be light in the Church and in the world, drawing God’s children to Christ and inviting them also to walk in unity and fraternal communion."
