Press Release: Plenary Assembly
'Embracing vulnerability in the synodal journey'
“The theme of the UISG Assembly emphasises that when you embrace vulnerability, when you listen deeply, when you walk beside others, you are called to change"
Sr Patricia Murray, ibvm, UISG Executive Secretary
March 14 marks the initial step on the pathway that the International Union of Superiors General has planned for its XXII Plenary Assembly, which will be held in Rome in person, May 2-6.
The UISG Assembly takes place every three years and for the first time there will be four meetings: two online prior to May, on March 14 and April 4, and a final one on July 11 to reflect together on the relationship between vulnerability and synodality.
Almost 600 Superiors from 60 countries have registered: simultaneous translation will be provided in 12 different languages.
