Many Voices, One Common Hope: Europe, Be Faithful to Our Common Home
European religious organizations have launched an appeal to the European Union to strengthen its commitment to climate justice and the care of our common home, promoting a just and rapid transition away from fossil fuels.
In the text, entitled “Europe, Be Faithful – Let Us Save Our Common Home”, the signatories call for courageous policies to protect the most vulnerable, support renewable energy, and address the effects of the climate crisis, which disproportionately impacts the poor and future generations.
Referring to Laudato Si’ and the social teaching of the Church, the document recalls that caring for creation is both a moral and spiritual imperative, as well as a political responsibility.
The promoting organizations invite congregations, communities, institutions, and all people of good will to join the initiative by signing the appeal through this form:
