The Advent booklet prepared by the JRS arrives at a time when many refugees—our brothers and sisters—continue to experience indifference, loneliness, or rejection. This resource invites us to open our hearts and our communities to their presence, accompanying this liturgical season with an attitude of welcome and hope.

Each week, as we light the candles of the Advent wreath, the itinerary encourages us to pray, reflect, and take small concrete steps of solidarity with those who have been forced to leave their homes. It is a spiritual journey that helps us prepare together for the coming of Christ, who also came as a child without a home, welcomed by strangers and bringing hope to a world thirsting for peace.

It is an opportunity to renew our capacity to welcome, listen, and accompany, allowing ourselves to be moved by the reality of so many migrants and refugees.
