International Congress of the Pontifical Missionary Union: 29–31 October 2026 in Rome
On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Missionary Union, marked by the blessing of Pope Leo XIV, the Pontifical Missionary Union is organising its International Congress from 29 to 31 October 2026, at the Pontifical Urban College in Rome – Vatican City.
Open to all, the Congress will offer an opportunity for encounter and reflection on the Church’s mission of evangelisation and ongoing formation in missionary spirituality in today’s world.
The event will take place in a hybrid format, both in person and online. The working languages will be Italian and English, with simultaneous interpretation into Italian, English, French and Spanish via Zoom.
A special invitation is extended to those responsible for the Pontifical Mission Societies, members of missionary institutes and religious congregations, as well as bishops, priests, consecrated persons, seminarians, lay people and all those involved in missionary formation.
Those living in Rome or elsewhere in Europe are particularly encouraged to attend in person, covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.
The Congress is open to everyone, both in person and online. To participate, simply complete the registration form:
