To mark the 45th anniversary of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), an online event will be held titled: “Hope Beyond Hardship: 45 Years of Accompaniment and the Journey Ahead.”

The event will offer a moment of reflection on the journey of JRS alongside refugees in a global context marked by worsening humanitarian crises. According to UNHCR, more than 120 million people are currently forcibly displaced worldwide.

Speakers will include:

• Fr. Arturo Sosa SJ, Superior General of the Jesuits
• Fr. Michael Schöpf SJ, International Director of JRS
• Sr. Veronika Yaniv, Sisters of St. Anne Catechists (Ukraine)
• Ximena Vidal, National Director of JRS Colombia
• A testimony from Myanar

Inspired by the Jubilee theme “Pilgrims of Hope”, the event will provide space for reflection, personal testimonies, and an opportunity to renew our shared commitment to accompany, serve, and advocate for the most vulnerable.
