Supporting Women Religious and Communities Affected by the Earthquakes
Following the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June 2026, numerous religious congregations, schools, hospitals, formation houses, and social ministries have suffered extensive structural damage. Among those most affected are communities caring for elderly and infirm sisters, as well as educational and healthcare institutions serving some of the country's most vulnerable people.
In response to this emergency, the Venezuelan Conference of Women and Men Religious (CONVER) has launched an international appeal for solidarity to support the religious congregations providing immediate assistance and accompanying those affected.
Contributions will help to:
- provide emergency assistance to evacuated sisters and to people sheltered in religious communities;
- purchase medicines, emergency supplies, and essential materials for urgent repairs;
- support educational, healthcare, and social ministries that have been seriously affected.
UISG invites congregations, partner organizations, and all people of goodwill to join this concrete expression of solidarity and hope.
How to Contribute
Donations are being coordinated through CONVER, which is overseeing the emergency response for the congregations most affected by the earthquakes.

Thank you for your generosity and solidarity. Together, we can support the women religious and the communities who, even in the midst of this crisis, continue to be a living sign of hope, compassion, and service to the people of Venezuela.
