United with you and all who have received this tragic news today. Sr. Mary has given her all for love of God and the people of Mozambique. May her testimony of love and generosity be a beacon of light in these troubled times. My prayers are for her, her community and the people of Mozambique.

We run out of words to express how deeply regretful we are about the violence that has taken away Sister Maria's life. We present our Christian condolences to the Comboni family and remain united in prayer to her. May our martyr intercede for more social justice in Mozambique and enjoy the reward promised to good servants in the Kingdom of the Father! Rest in eternal peace! Courage and faithfulness in prayer
