Pope Francis, in his message for the 99th World Mission Day 2025, invites the entire Church to renew its missionary vocation by becoming "missionaries of hope among the people." On the occasion of this Jubilee year, the Pope emphasizes that hope is at the heart of the Christian mission and must be lived, shared, and transmitted across the world.

His message is divided into three main themes:

• Following in the footsteps of Christ, our hope: Christ is the supreme example of a missionary of hope. His life, death, and resurrection are the assurance of a future filled with hope, even in times of darkness.
• Christians as bearers and builders of hope among the peoples: Christians are called to carry hope by serving the most needy and by living the joys and sufferings of others.
• Renewing the mission of hope: The Church is invited to renew its mission of transmitting hope, nourished by prayer, the sacraments, and fraternal communion, in a community-driven dynamic.
