In solidarity with the people of Malawi
In solidarity with the people of Malawi
We would like to express our solidarity and sympathy to the people of Malawi who have been severely affected by the recent cloudburst. Cyclone Freddy, which violently struck the country, destroyed houses and hundreds of people lost their lives, and thousands are displaced. The situation is terrible. We unite in solidarity by praying for the families of the victims, expressing deep communion to all, especially the religious communities that live and serve in these territories.
While we hope that the necessary humanitarian aid will not be lacking, we pray to the Lord, God of Life, to give consolation, courage and a resilient spirit to face this great trial with hope and determination.
