It is with great joy that UISG received the news of the appointment of Sr Simona Brambilla MC as Secretary for the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated  Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. 

This appointment continues to concretize the commitment of Pope Francis to appointing Religious and lay people  to  significant roles within Dicasteries, a further sign of the increasing spirit of Synodality within the Church. 

We look forward to continuing the synodal journey together, furthering and deepening the existing collaboration between UISG and DICLSAL, for the good of Religious Life across the globe and ultimately for the good of God’s mission entrusted to all of us.  

We also offer our gratitude to the outgoing secretary Msgr. José Rodríguez Carballo for the collaboration we enjoyed during the past ten years and we wish him every blessing in his new role as  Archbishop Coadjutor of Mérida-Badajoz in Spain.
