A Call to Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation
A Call to Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation
In view of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on August 15th, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, issues a heartfelt call to prayer to the Queen of Peace, addressed to Christians around the world.
In the face of the devastating war that continues to ravage the Middle East, he expresses his deep sorrow over the persistence of hatred, resentment, and violence, which makes the search for solutions increasingly difficult.
In this climate where dialogue seems almost impossible, Cardinal Pizzaballa urges everyone to turn fervently to prayer. He exhorts all the faithful, especially those consecrated to religious life, to pray intensely for reconciliation and peace, entrusting our prayers to the intercession of the Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace, on this sacred day of the Assumption.
May this call to prayer be a light in the darkness, a path toward hope and peace for all.
