Climate change is not only an environmental issue: it is now recognized as a global health crisis that threatens the life and dignity of people, especially the most vulnerable communities.

The event “Responding to Climate Change as a Health Crisis” aims to foster an open, interdisciplinary dialogue among religious, diplomatic, health, and civil society actors.

Together, we seek to identify concrete strategies for cooperation and advocacy to address the health consequences of climate change, in the light of the Laudato si’ encyclical and Pope Francis’ appeals for an integral care of the person and of our common home.

Through scientific contributions, theological reflections, and testimonies from the field, the event will offer a space for dialogue and shared commitment to protect the health of humanity and the planet.
