Sisters Advocating Globally

Sisters Advocating Globally

Religious Sisters Advocating Globally for Human Dignity and the Earth is a UISG initiative to empower Catholic Sisters in tackling global development challenges. This is our response to Pope Francis’ invitation: “Let us return to promoting the good, for ourselves and for the whole human family, and thus advance together towards an authentic and integral growth.” – Fratelli Tutti, 113

IDENTITY

This initiative was launched in July 2020 with support from the Global Solidarity Fund, an alliance catalysing partnerships across the development sector, the private sector and Catholic communities. Since then, we have supported hundreds of Sister within and beyond the UISG network through training and mentoring in advocacy and communication.

We have developed a framework for advocacy on human trafficking and ecology, in collaboration, respectively, with UISG projects Talitha Kum and Sowing Hope for the Planet. In 2023, we’re also supporting UISG’s International Migration project and expanding our work on healthcare. You can find out more at advocacy.uisg.org.
