The Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors Promotes the Second Annual Encounter on Abuse Prevention in Consecrated Life

Registration is now open for the second Annual Encounter on abuse prevention in consecrated life, organised by the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. The international gathering will take place in Rome from 9 to 11 December 2026 and will bring together Church leaders and safeguarding practitioners from around the world, with the aim of strengthening a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and shared mission within consecrated life.

The three-day encounter will offer a synodal and practice-oriented space for reflection, dialogue, and exchange of experiences, grounded in the findings of the Commission’s Third Annual Report on Church Policies and Procedures for Safeguarding, scheduled for publication in October 2026.
