Jubilee of Consecrated Life: Prayer text for the Vigil at St Peter’s

In the context of the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, the day of Wednesday, 8 October 2025 will begin with a pilgrimage to the Holy Door, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the jubilee churches.

At the conclusion of this spiritual journey, consecrated women and men from all over the world will gather in prayer at St Peter’s Basilica at 7:00 p.m. to experience a moment of deep communion and intercession together.

The Vigil, presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, is entitled "Pilgrims of hope on the paths of peace."

To allow those who cannot be physically present to join spiritually in the celebration, we are making the full text of the Vigil available in PDF format and in several languages. In this way, all can take part in the prayer—either in their communities or personally—sharing the journey of hope that unites us as consecrated men and women.
