The Anna Trust Foundation: Launch of the First Call for Proposals

The Anna Trust Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of its first Application Opportunity for Grants focused on planning for elderly sisters’ care.

Specifically, the grants are intended to help congregations develop the data, needs assessments, service models, or financial analysis that would help them create a concrete plan for meeting the needs of their elderly sisters well into the future.

The Anna Trust particularly seeks planning that foresees and enables collaboration among individual congregations to meet their individual and collective needs. Planning assistance might include:

  • Developing data on elderly sisters and their needs across collaborating congregations
  • Technical assistance to examine possible financial models for sustainable services
  • Convening multiple congregations to develop collaborative approaches
  • Developing approaches to formation for accompaniment of the elderly by younger sisters
  • Assessments of the infrastructure or training needs that will be critical to future aging services.

These are examples only, but they provide important guidance on the purposes of this first grantmaking effort of The Anna Trust.

Please note carefully the criteria for application, both in terms of applicants and in terms of subject matter. Please also note that an application must include an uploaded signed letter of support from the relevant superior(s) general. The maximum grant request for this planning process is $40,000. The application process for this first round of grants will be closed on February 6, 2026.

With the aim of facilitating your grant application, we have created this PDF guide which explains the steps to take on the digital submission platform. Additionally we

First, you will read detailed description of the grant: its purpose, eligibility and award criteria, and reporting requirements and after you'll create the organization/congregation’s profile. Once you have completed that profile, you will receive a confirmation code via email. After entering that code, you can proceed to the Application for Grant portion of the platform.

Note that you do not have to complete the application in one sitting. You can save your work and come back to work on the documents as many times as is needed.

The staff of The Anna Trust wish to be as helpful as possible in

  • answering your questions about the appropriateness of a request that you may have in mind (we do not want anyone to waste time and effort if the idea is not aligned with the purposes of these grants),
  • guiding you through the application process,
  • explaining the review and timing sequence.

We have also created a helpful PDF with the most frequently asked questions but please do not hesitate to reach out to grants@annatrustfoundation.org with other questions.

We are here to serve you.

We are excited to begin the grantmaking part of our work.
