The Congregation of Notre-Dame has announced the election of its new Leadership Team during the 99th General Chapter, held in Montréal on 22 July 2026.
Entrusted with leading the Congregation over the next five years, the newly elected team is composed of:
- Congregation Leader: Sr. Ona B. Bessette, CND
- Associate to the Congregation Leader: Martha Lucía Pérez Gutiérrez
- Councillor: Atsuko Nakamoto
- Councillor: Karen Kelly, CND
- Councillor: Lucie Mekoulou Me-Zambo, CND
- Councillor: Sandra Margarite Sierre Flores
- Councillor: Susan Kidd, CND
The UISG extends its heartfelt congratulations to Sr. Ona B. Bessette and all the members of the new Leadership Team. We pray that their five-year mandate will be marked by wisdom, discernment, and faithful service, and that, inspired by the Chapter's theme, "Becoming one Congregation. For a future full of hope and joy," they may continue to strengthen communion and lead the Congregation with hope, courage, and joy.
