Sr Nadia Coppa on EWTN News
In a recent interview for EWTN News, sr. Nadia Coppa, ASC - the UISG President shared her thoughts on the Pope Francis decision to allow women to vote in the upcoming Synod on Synodality. She said that the UISG welcomed the decision with "great joy and gratitude," adding that the Holy Father's announcement is a sign the Church's tent is growing and greater dialogue is likely to follow.
"It was the news that brought a lot of joy and passion to the UISG, it was a great news for all the Superiors General.
I think it was a response to the long process that we are doing in the synodal path. Pope Francis shared with us his wisdom, and it is a fruit of the listening and the desire for more inclusivity and participation that came from different levels of our society. We are very grateful and open to live this experience and we are ready to bring passion and joy for religious life." - said sr. Nadia.
