From March 2 to 28, 2026, the General Chapter of The Apostolic Carmel was held in India under the theme “Rekindling our Sacred Belonging”, a time of prayer, discernment, and renewal.

During the Chapter, Sr. Maria Nirmalini A.C. was re-elected as Superior General.

Together with her, the following were elected to the General Council:

• Sr. M. Ancilla A.C.
• Sr. Maria Shamita A.C.
• Sr. Maria Rashmi A.C.
• Sr. M. Nessa A.C.

In addition, the following appointments were made:

• Sr. M. Pradeepa A.C., Secretary General
• Sr. Zeena Crasta A.C., Bursar General
