The Education Commission of the two Unions — UISG and USG — continues to promote the educational mission through formation initiatives addressed to Religious Congregations, focusing on topics of particular relevance that call for a shared commitment.
This meeting arises from the dialogue with the Dicastery for Culture and Education, which has highlighted the importance of encountering and listening to consecrated life engaged in the field of education.

A Synodal Exercise of Listening and Discernment

The meeting will take place as an authentic synodal exercise through conversation in the Spirit. It will be an opportunity to:

• share the fruits of the “much good” accomplished daily in educational works; 
• bring forward the challenges faced by the educational mission today; 
• identify together new concrete commitments for the future. 

Across the world, even in difficult contexts, women and men religious continue to promote the dignity of every person and the right to education, in the light of the Gospel and in the richness of their charisms.

Participation and Spirit of the Meeting

A special invitation is extended to Institutes present in Rome to participate in person and share this moment of communion and exchange. Institutes located outside Rome will be able to participate online.
