We are pleased to share the joyful news of the election of the new General Council of the School Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, which took place during the 2026 General Chapter.

The new General Council, entrusted with guiding the life and mission of the Congregation for the 2026–2031 term, is composed as follows:

• General Minister: Sr. Regina Żuk-Olszewska
• Vicar General: Sr. Jeena Sebastian
• Second Councilor: Sr. Dominika Konečná
• Third Councilor: Sr. Ana María Duran Pillancary
• Fourth Councilor: Sr. Alžbeta Koželová

The UISG warmly congratulates Sr. Regina Żuk-Olszewska and the members of the newly elected General Council. As they begin this new ministry of leadership, we join the Congregation in giving thanks for their generous availability and commitment. May the Holy Spirit accompany them with wisdom, courage, and hope as they continue to nurture the Franciscan charism and serve the Church and the world.
