Advocacy in Migration: Commitment to the Defense of Migrants, Refugees and IDP Rights
Advocacy in Migration: Commitment to the Defense of Migrants, Refugees and IDP Rights
The Scalabrinian International Migration Institute (SIMI) and the UISG International Network for Migrants and Refugees continue their joint training journey aimed at women religious who accompany migrants, refugees and/or asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, victims of human trafficking, itinerant people, and their families.
The webinar will be dedicated to defining the concept of advocacy in migration in a basic way and will then focus on the most relevant elements, taking into account different geographical areas and the tools needed in various contexts. Throughout the session, a brief legal framework and an analysis of the causes will be presented; participants will reflect on what people truly need in order to continue learning; concrete lines of action to generate impact will be proposed; and useful negotiation tools for work in this field will be introduced.
