Online Formation for Consecrated Life: An Initiative of the Dicastery
For over 70 years, the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has been at the service of formation in the Church, offering guidance through the Magisterium, canon norms and practice.
With careful attention to today’s challenges, the Dicastery offers a two-year online course, structured in two complementary areas:
1. Interdisciplinary Area
This area explores consecrated life through theological, liturgical, historical, and biblical perspectives. Key topics include identity, ecclesial significance, biblical hermeneutics, and mission, providing effective tools to accompany consecrated life in today’s diverse cultural and social contexts.
2. Canonical norms and Practice Area
This area deepens the understanding of the various forms of consecrated life and addresses urgent issues such as discernment, formation, economic management, fraternal life, and mission. Drawing on the experience of the Dicastery, it offers an integral vision of canon law, encouraging critical reflection and more effective service in consecrated life.
