Applications are now open for Discerning Leadership 2026, an international formation program designed to support the development of ecclesial leadership capable of discernment, reform, and renewal, in line with the journey of a synodal Church.
The program is intended for senior leaders in the Church and Catholic organizations—including Superiors and General Councils, bishops and vicars, administrators, and lay leaders—who are called to guide complex processes in increasingly intercultural contexts.

The formation integrates personal, spiritual, and organizational dimensions. Key topics include:

• personal and spiritual formation for discerning leadership 
• communal discernment 
• personality styles and interculturality 
• team leadership and group facilitation 
• communication and conflict resolution 
• organizational culture and polarity management 

The program is structured in two modules: the first focuses on the personal development of the discerning leader, while the second addresses interpersonal and organizational dynamics. It also includes follow-up webinars and accompaniment pathways, fostering participation in an international network of alumni committed to the ongoing development of ecclesial leadership.

The sessions will take place in 2026 in English and Italian:

English (Session 1):

• Module 1: June 1–5
• Module 2: October 19–23 

English (Session 2):

• Module 1: June 15–19
• Module 2: November 2–6 

Italian:

• Module 1: July 6–10
• Module 2: November 16–20
