Bogotá to Host the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Conference of Refugees & Migrants in Our Common Home

Following the success of the International Migration Symposium held in the Canary Islands, the global initiative Refugees & Migrants in Our Common Home (OCH) is convening the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Conference, which will take place from 4–6 November 2026 at UniCervantes in Bogotá, Colombia.

The conference will bring together regional partners to deepen collaboration and strengthen responses to migration and displacement throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. It will focus particularly on the role that Catholic universities and civil society can play in addressing this humanitarian crisis.

This conference is part of a global effort to respond to the challenges of human mobility from the perspective of the Catholic Social Tradition. It also invites scholars and researchers from a wide range of disciplines—including migration studies, political science, theology, humanitarian assistance, and education—to join this important and timely interdisciplinary dialogue on one of the most pressing issues of our time.
