ABOUT THE EVENT:

God speaks to our hearts to transform our lives with the power of love. 

As we know, God is Word, the Word is God (cf. Jn 1, 1) and "the Word of God is something alive and active…  it can seek out the place where the soul is divided from the spirit" (Heb 4, 12). That is why our prayer needs to be nurtured by the reading of Sacred Scripture, so that God and we may talk together; because we speak to God when we pray, and we hear God when we read the Scriptures (cf. Dei Verbum 25).

Although this is true, I realise that for many people, also in Consecrated Life, it is not easy to hear and decipher the echoes of God's Word touching us from within. 

So, why not read together some passages from the Gospels, trying to understand what they are telling us, in the present of our world situation, in a personal, meaningful, and prayerful way?

As Christians we are called to witness to all, with our gestures and words, what we have heard and touched of the Word of God made flesh in Jesus. That is our core mission. Therefore, "Your Word is light on my path" sessions would like to offer this space of prayer open to everyone, so that we can enter our inner secret place where God is present, communicating with us (cf. Mt 6, 6).

I hope these meetings will make us rediscover with wonder the fact that God speaks to us in a particular way, as we try to listen. Jesus himself will walk with us, speak to us, break open the Scriptures, enlighten and guide us, making our hearts burn over and over again (cf. Lk 24, 15-32).
