JUBILEE COMMUNITY

An example of the kind of project that can be
generated from the reflection and work of a
Constellation is the Jubilee Community in
Rome. The members reflected on the
difficulties that Sisters from diocesan
congregations, centered outside of Italy,
experienced when they came to study in
Rome.

As a way of celebrating the Jubilee year,
2000, the Rome Constellation committed to
create a community for these Sisters studying
in Rome.

It is located at the generalate of the School
Sisters of Notre Dame and is filled with 34
Sisters from countries all over the world.

The top photo is a view of the SSND
Generelate which houses the Jubilee
Community, shown in the photo above.

The pictures to the left show two of the Sisters returning from their studies in the center of Rome. The train station is a short distance from the house. There is also a convenient bus stop down the street, so transportation closer into Rome is frequent.

The picture to the immediate left is of the front door that the leads to the Jubilee Community.
