UISG AND USG JOINT COMMISSIONS

The UISG joins its partner, USG (The Union of Superiors General for men) in several
endeavors. The potential for working together and broadening the base from which they operate is tremendous. There are joint commissions, which meet in Rome and there are international groups in which the collaboration of the two unions is an ongoing commitment.

JPIC - Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation
The Gospel mandate which calls us to the work of justice and peace has been addressed jointly by the two unions for some time. The collaboration has resulted in the increased voice of religious throughout the world as issues arise which cry out for justice.

Inter-religious Dialogue
Inter-religious dialogue has been a concern of religious since the Vatican Council urged us to look beyond our own church experience to reverence and to learn from other religions. UISG is represented by Srs. Lorraine Marie Delaney, CSJ and Mechtild Vahle, DMJ.
