DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
The Director of Finance for UISG is responsible for accurate accounting and administration of finances. She must be fluent in Italian and be well versed in Italian law and financial structures.
The Director of Finance
- assists the President, Executive Committee and General Secretary in carrying forward the mission, vision and goals of the Union;
- works in collaboration with the General Secretary, Director for Programs and Social MIssion and Office Manager on administrative responsibilities;
- coordinates and supervises the management of the Union's finances and property.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- directs annual budget process and continues oversight of income and expenses during the course of the fiscal year;
- prepares periodic financial reports;
- serves as staff person for the Finance Commission;
- meets with the Finance Commission at least three times a year;
- prepares the office budget in collaboration with the General Secretary, Director for Progams and Social MIssion and the Office Manager;
- holds primary responsibility for the management and maintenance of the UISG building;
- supervises contracted services pertaining to the building and equipment;
- administers payroll;
- oversees rentals, purchasing, insurance and investments;
- receives membership and subscription fees and donations to the UISG;
- coordinates banking and data base for fees;
- oversees leagal issues appropriate to the finance office;
- provides other assistance as required or as requested by the General Secretary.
